Applications for the Commercial Radio Industry
Compress Technologies, Inc. anticipates VMSK to impact FM radio in revolutionary ways. Much work is currently underway to harness VMSK’s ultra-narrow bandwidth properties to utilize many segments of the spectrum historically considered unusable. VMSK represents an opportunity to deliver possibly hundreds of new stations to major markets, permitting “narrow-casting”.
The expansion of station capacity is expected to foster a new wave of creative thought within the industry. Stations committed to certain professionals will be feasible for the first time, i.e. a “law station”, dedicated to legal topics of interest to attorneys in New York or even nationally through the network model.
